Report a Policy Violation
As someone who has always prided herself on giving credit where it is due, it really boils my blood to see so many people on DA who really don't seem to give a damn about copyright infringements. So, I have written a sort of FAQ's of different issues I have come across. I know that a bunch of articles have been written about this subject, but I feel that I should do all that I can to help.

I really dig my typography class <3. While it's not an area I can see myself going into, the projects are cool, and I am generally inspired by my instructor. He's so passionate about his subject, and it really makes the class that much more entertaining.
This particular assignment was to use the David Carson deconstruction aesthetic to take a stance on an issue, using ironic wordplay. My first attempt was a total bomb (it looked like "wrapping paper with cheesy stock imagery"), but I'm proud of this one. It doesn't look like my usual stuff. I think that's why I like it so much. <soapbox> Eating disorders are a serious epidemic. While ana-mia supporters will doubtlessly claim it's an empowering lifestyle choice, and when done in moderation, doesn't hurt anyone, but that's simply not true. Bulimia in particular is destructive to the body, and to one's self-worth and self-image. It's not something beautiful or noble, and those suffering from these diseases need help. There's more to life than your body. </soapbox> |

Mental disorders are a complicated matter (I have dysthymic disorder so I have room to talk), but this picture definately captures a sort of mixed emotion on eating disorders. Beautifully done (:

On the other hand, if we got to do assignments like this, maybe it wouldn't suck so much. Ugh. Which would be my round about way of telling you "niiiiiiice"
Do people get confused and think you're talking about maps when you tell them you're taking typography? Because I get that all the time. >_>
